On Wednesday, 22 July 2026, the campus of Intercollege — the central premises of the University of Nicosia — will host a free experiential nutrition and cooking workshop designed specifically for children between the ages of 8 and 14. The event is organised by ALFAMEGA Supermarkets in partnership with the Pan-Cyprian Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists of Cyprus, a collaboration that brings genuine professional expertise into what might otherwise be a simple cooking class.
The workshop is structured around two participant groups, ensuring that every child has room to engage actively rather than simply watch from the sidelines. Guiding them through the kitchen is ALFAMEGA's own chef and Brand Ambassador, whose role is to make healthy eating feel intuitive, creative and genuinely enjoyable — not like a lecture on vegetables.
What sets this event apart is its dual focus: children pick up practical cooking skills while simultaneously learning the nutritional reasoning behind the ingredients they handle. It is the kind of afternoon that tends to stick — not just as a memory, but as a habit. For families spending the summer in Nicosia, it offers a purposeful, screen-free activity with real educational value.
Places are limited and registration closes on 17 July 2026 at 12:00, so early sign-up is strongly advised. Admission is entirely free of charge.
