There is a particular kind of relief that comes from laughing at the things you are not supposed to laugh at. Dark Comedy Night arrives in Nicosia for the first time this June, taking over Rustem Book Store — a venue whose floor-to-ceiling shelves and intimate scale feel almost tailor-made for comedy that refuses to play it safe. The bookshop setting adds its own quiet irony: surrounded by the weight of human thought, a room full of strangers will spend an evening dismantling life's most uncomfortable truths together.
