On Saturday, 22 August 2026, Capsule Skateshop in Nicosia hosts its Skate Jam — a three-hour celebration of skateboarding that blends friendly competition with the kind of easy camaraderie that defines the best skate gatherings. Running from 18:00 to 21:00, the event takes place at the shop itself, turning a familiar retail space into a lively arena for the local scene.
The programme is built around skate competitions, games, and a series of challenges, all with prizes on the line. The format is deliberately inclusive: whether you've been skating for a decade or just found your footing, the emphasis is on participation and fun rather than podium pressure. Expect spontaneous battles, crowd energy, and the kind of moments that end up in everyone's camera roll.
Capsule Skateshop has long served as a hub for Nicosia's skating community — a place where riders of all ages pick up gear, swap tips, and stay connected to the culture. The Skate Jam is an extension of that ethos, bringing people together in a shared space with a shared passion.
For anyone curious about Cyprus's urban sports scene, this is a rare chance to see it in full swing. Mark the date, bring your board, and arrive ready to compete — or simply to watch the city's skaters do what they do best.
