On Friday, 9 October 2026, Achna Forest Square in Famagusta becomes the setting for one of the most anticipated evenings of the 6th Pan-Cyprian Refugees' Gathering — a wide-ranging cultural programme running from 5 to 18 October 2026, organised by the Municipality of Ayia Napa. The concert is scheduled to begin at 19:30, as the forest square settles into the particular quiet of an autumn evening.
Taking the stage is APON, joined by Christos Adamopoulos for what promises to be a warm and musically rich performance. The pairing brings together two distinct voices in a shared space that feels both intimate and expansive — the natural surroundings of Achna's wooded square lending the evening an atmosphere that a conventional indoor venue simply cannot replicate.
The event carries the patronage of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, underlining the cultural and historical weight that the Pan-Cyprian Refugees' Gathering holds on the island. Now in its sixth edition, the gathering continues to serve as a point of collective memory and community, with live music at its heart.
Admission is entirely free, making this an accessible evening for residents, visitors, and anyone passing through the Famagusta district. Few combinations are as compelling as a significant live act, a forest setting, and no ticket required.
